Okta offers one year free ID management

The identity provider has a special offer for startups and small businesses that can help secure user access.

Compromised user credentials are an increasing threat for businesses, but having a secure password for every system and cloud application can be a hassle. Identity management can take the pain and worry out user access, and Okta has introduced a new program giving free use of the Okta Identity Cloud to startups and small businesses for one year.

Okta Identity Cloud accommodates every type of user – employee, partner, customer, and so on – and provides out-of-the-box integration with more than 5000 systems including Active Directory, Adobe Creative Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Box, Evernote, Facebook, G Suite, GoToMeeting, LDAP, MYOB, NetSuite, Office 365, QuickBooks, Salesforce.com, ServiceNow, Slack, Splunk, TripIt, Twitter, Webex, Xero and Zendesk.

The Okta for Startups program allows businesses to use Okta Identity Cloud for up to 25 employees, contractors or partners for 12 months at no charge.

Participants may also use the Okta APIs as the identity and authentication layer of their customer-facing apps for up to 25,000 active users per month.

“Founding a company is hard. And it’s even harder when you have to build a business model for something that hasn’t been done before, or that you’re trying to differently – all while getting your core systems up and running,” said Okta COO and co-founder Frederic Kerrest.

“With Okta for Startups, we’ll enable new and growing companies to focus on what’s most important when you’re getting started – your core business and customers – by making it easy (and free) to build a foundation of identity and access management into your app or company infrastructure.”

Information about Okta for Startups is available on request by emailing OktaforStartups@okta.com.
